Facts vs Fears

Since we learned about COVID-19 we have been inundated with experts and politicians perpetuating a narrative of fear at a time when we were not so clear on the science. Looking back at 2020, we have far more science to help us better understand how COVID-19 affects us and can better judge our response to it. Despite this, the narrative of fear continues from politicians and experts alike.

We must ask ourselves, should we follow the bureaucratic experts or should we follow the science?

The following information should help you better answer questions and be a resource to arm you in any discussion about COVID-19. More topics to come.

Do Masks Protect You Against COVID-19?

Fear

Government and public health bureaucrats tell us wearing a face mask will prevent the transmission of COVID-19 to others.

Fact

Many peer reviewed studies demonstrate that masks fail to prevent the spread of viruses and often increase the likelihood of infections and can contribute to poor respiratory health.

Can Healthy (Asymptomatic) People Spread COVID-19?

Download

Fear

Some believe healthy people could be carriers and transmitters of COVID-19. A new term “asymptomatic,” transmission was propagated and used to justify lockdowns and limited gatherings, fearing even the healthy can spread the virus.

Fact

This has thoroughly been discredited as a false assertion. "Asymptomatic" spread was cautioned as a possibility but was never proven. All respiratory viruses are transmitted by infectious people showing symptoms such as a cough or fever. Healthy people can not be considered carriers or transmitters of COVID-19.

Does a Positive PCR Test Indicate a COVID-19 Infection?

Download

Fear

COVID-19 is spreading rapidly among our population as indicated by increasing positive PCR tests.

Fact

The inventor of the PCR test warned against using it to diagnose viral infections. Other scientists and peer-reviewed studies have also indicated current PCR testing for COVID-19 is being improperly administered resulting in many false positives. Evidence now demonstrates we are in a “casedemic” of false positives rather than a pandemic.

Are Our Hospitals Overwhelmed?

Download

Fear

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our hospitals could become overwhelmed and people would not get proper healthcare.

Fact

Ontario has faced “hallway healthcare” for decades. Our hospitals have been overcapacity due to poor management and administration, yet today in a pandemic, most hospitals are below capacity and have fewer patients. Due to COVID-19 restrictions at hospitals, many people are prevented from receiving proper medical treatment for other illnesses.
